Learn a practice to nourish yourself from the inside out.

Spinal Release Yoga is an accessible yet advanced approach to yoga: accessible because it’s gentle and highly adaptive, and advanced because it takes you directly towards yoga’s supreme purpose. This practice nourishes and releases tension in both the physical and subtle spine, which has a direct transformative effect on the nervous system and the mind.

Each class begins with a blissful guided awareness of the body, and pranayama to create “pratyahara” or inward orientation. After inviting all of you to stop doing, we deconstruct classical asana by aligning your bones into healthy joint parameters and then supporting the weight of your bones into these specific angles to release deeply held spinal tensions. You are profoundly nourished and supported in ways that allow blocked, hidden, and painful conditioning or physical injury that traces back through your past to open to new ways of being. SRY practice and teachings are not about effort or striving, but about release and revelation. What is revealed is the pure nectar that is the Self of the self.
